Jamie's nomination story

The moment Jamie came into this world My life changed for the better Jamie was born with Down Syndrome two holes in his heart and ceoliac's diseases As his mum I can only love guide and protect him but he has shown our whole family more love and inspired us all to be better people It is because of Jamie I found myself fundraising for a local charity supporting children with severe and complex disabilities, at a time when it was in fear of collapsing I have managed to keep it going not only for the past 7 years raising the £50,000 needed each year, but trebled its intake to 121 children per day throughout the summer I am now chair and project coordinator Something I never thought I could do. Jamie has inspired his dad, brother and his sister to Climb the 3 Peaks Kinabalu in borneo Walk on fire and other challenges they would never of considered before He inspires all who meet him taking life in his stride, nothing stands in his way, he swims, plays football, and scored a goal for a local disability team from the opposite goal he was the goalie The ref had never seen it happen before. showing anything is possible, as he always seems to do I dare say without Jamie Pegasus Playscheme A small charity doing BIG things would have folded years ago He is my inspiration to carry on in these tough times a charity a day folds in the UK. He is always by my side collecting cheques from events and would be an ideal candidate and extremely honoured to carry the torch for Britain.
