James is a very active, popular and modest young man. A very enthusiastic and talented sportsman, he has represented Sir Thomas Picton school in football, rugby, cross country and hockey and gained selection to the county in both football and cross country. He recently helped his U12`s club football team- Camrose to the League title. As a toddler James was diagnosed as having extremely poor eyesight (less than 10% visibility). He endured years of hospital visits for treatments and an operation and is now finally leading a relatively normal life, playing sport and looking after his 7 year old sister, Hannah. James epitomises the ethos of our school. He always strives to do his very best in all aspects. When playing sport he is modest in victory yet gracious in defeat and respects fellow competitors and officials. James undoubtedly deserves the honour of carrying the Olympic torch and in doing so would be a fine ambassador for the school and local community.
