James's nomination story

Since losing his colon his passion for sport & mountain biking is infectious. He helps me and others by giving time support & maintenance! In 2003 diagnosed with crones and weighing 7.5stone I had to have my large intestine removed. My passion for mountain-biking helped me recover; this drive and enthusiasm has motivated others to realise their goals. I provide advice and inspiration to people having the same operation and also continue to motivate friends to achieve their goals. I encouraged and trained a friend from beginner to her first 24-hour mountain-bike race. This inspired others to set goals which I am continuing to support. My 2012 goal is to compete in 2x24hr mountain-bike events and in 2013 to compete in the AlpD'Huez triathlon; I hope my enthusiasm continues to motivate people to achieve their goals and that friends/family join me in these future challenges!
