Jimmy's nomination story

In 2008, Jimmy, a 34 year verteran of IHG, was diagnosed with metastatic neck cancer and had surgery to remove his tumor, his jugular vein and 48 lymph nodes. He subsequently endured seven weeks of chemotherapy/radiation treatments losing fifty pounds, his hair and a large portion of his health. However, except for his surgery time, he never stopped working nor took any leave of absence. While continuing to recover, the following year he was able to compete in and actually win the Georgia Senior Amateur golf championship and Georgia Senior Golfer of the Year honors!

Additionally, Jimmy has inspired and led his Airline and Leisure team to exceed it numerical goals/targets for seven straight years. He is adored and respected by his team/clients for his leadership and knowledge. These are extraordinary achievenents by an extraordinary person in extraordinary times. CR
