Jim Montgomerie

Jim Montgomerie is known as the "Running Kilt" because he always wears one whilst carrying out long distance charity runs all over the world. Jim has completed some of the world's toughest marathons and endurance races to raise more than £170,000 for charity. He has just run the whole length of the UK. He played a huge part in getting the local tennis courts upgraded and gives up his spare time to coach tennis to local children and provides them with free racquets and balls. He is a modest man who gives his total commitment to his community. He recently won the inaugural North Ayrshire Citizen of the Year Award.
