James Galloway

James is an inspirational church leader changing the lives of many people in the Stoke on Trent area, who in my opinion is a very deserving candidate for the honour of carrying the Olympic torch through our great city. The church that James represents as Senior Pastor, namely the Breathe City Church, is immensely community spirited and is incredibly inclusive of all faiths and ideas, including myself, an Atheist! The BCC'ers as they are known locally also undertake a plethora of community projects in their own time, under their LoveStoke guise (www.lovestoke.org), some small, others very ambitious! Examples projects include Silverdale Primary School where over 30 volunteers tidied up the gardens and painted the entrance hall. Another example is where they undertook marshalling duties for the local Potteries Half Marathon, as well as manning a 'sponging' station designed to help cool the runners down! In short, please do consider James as a torch bearer, he is an avid runner, a great friend and a true unsung hero in our community.
