James French

James is a determined young person despite having additional needs. James has always struggled with sport due to the need to understand and remember rules. Swimming suits him best and belongs to the local swimming club. On numerous occasions he has been the highest fund raiser for sponsored swims. Despite a serious arm injury he still attends training sessions. He is NARS qualified.This year he was involved in lifesaving 4 people at a local beach. The lifeboat representative stated that his help stopped the incident becoming a major accident. He is studying Sports and Fitness and has to travel for 2 hours each way to get to college such is his determination to achieve.To fund his college course James also works in the local leisure centre. James has been in Scout Explorers and Army Cadet and sees his future in the Armed Forces. He would carry the torch with pride
