James Dixon

I would like to nominate James Dixon to be a torch bearer for the 2012 Olympics. James is a committed volunteer within Preston. Despite being deaf James has volunteered at a number of different venues and helped coach a variety of sports especially cricket. James currently volunteers at a multi sports club, coaches for a cricket team and helps coach a variety of sports at a local deaf school three times a week. James plays for the deaf England cricket team and was awarded disabled athlete of the year at this years Preston Sports awards for his achievements. James is continually looking to increase the amount of support he can provide and is motivated to inspire other people suffering with disabilities to get involved in sport.
