James Colley

James is studying Chemistry at the University of East Anglia. He is a qualified and highly regarded hockey umpire. Recently invited by the East Regional Youn Hockey Umpires Association to umpire at an exchange tournament in France and umpires regularly at East Regional level and University home and away matches, whilst coaching and teaching umpiring to recruits in Norfolk. James is the School of Chemistry's sports representative and is a very active proponent of involvement in sports. His vote of thanks at UEA's Ziggurat (sports) challenge this year underlined his commitment to sport. James' ambition is to umpire for England at the 2020 or 2024 Olympics. He will be receiving a UEA services to sport award at the end of the current year. We believe he would be an excellent sports ambassador for the University.
