Jake Cook

Jake is currently a Year 11 pupil at Handsworth Grange Community Sports College and has been a truly inspirational force as a young leader and Gold Ambassador. He has been a sports leader for a number of years and has voluntarily delivered multi-sport coaching sessions to pupils of varying ages from local primary schools. More recently in his gold ambassador role Jake visited a number of local primary schools and delivered a presentation to promote the Olympic/Paralympic Values. He also organised a Mini-Olympics festival for Year 1 and 2 pupils based around the values where he arranged for an Olympian to visit and present the awards. Jake has also created an Olympic Value based playground games resource and assisted in training up of Year 5 and 6 young leaders to enable them to use the resource back in their primary schools at lunchtimes. Jake has been a fully committed, self-motivated, reliable and inspirational sports leader and gold ambassador and I cannot think of anybody who would be a more deserving torchbearer!
