Jack's nomination story

Jack has the quality of giving by taking on that extra mile for others. When he was 16 he walked the Pennine Way to raise money for cancer research as his friend had a relative suffering from the disease. His friend got injured but his determination made him complete the Pennine Way alone and he never gave up - an Olympic quality. He is now 20 and again a friend asked for help to raise money for Kidney Research UK, as his father had kidney failure. This time, '4Boysonbikes' decided to ride from Land's End to John O'Groats - an inspirational trip of 11 days which he is right in the middle of. Jack needs a thank you of epic proportions because his efforts are epic for someone so young. He uses the Olympic values - friendship, respect, courage, excellence, determination and inspiration - to help others, but doesn't expect anything in return. The way he thinks, feels and behaves makes up who he is as an individual - an individual who I'd like to thank with this nomination. He certainly goes the extra mile!
