Jack's nomination story

Jack is 14, profoundly deaf and also losing his vision from an incurable genetic disease called Ushers Syndrome. Despite the difficulties that having a dual sensory loss brings, Jack is an extremely accomplished Judo player, who has won many medals and is aspiring to compete in the Paralympics in the future. Jack represents Nottingham County at Judo and has also represented the East Midlands. Jack is also a Level 3 Junior Referee (the highest grade a Junior can hold) and he often helps with referee competitions. Jack is always helping younger children learn judo and even though he has poor vision, he truly gets on with life with a smile on his face. This would be a fantastic opportunity for Jack and hopefully the start to this own personal Olympics journey!
