Isaac Harvey is an inspiration to our school. Isaac was born with a congenital abnormality which resulted in an absence of both arms and hips. He has a partial foot which he uses to control his wheelchair. He also developed spinal scoliosis which he had major back surgery to correct. Isaac quickly formed excellent relationships with everybody he came into contact with. He is a real character with an excellent sense of humour. Students look up to him and he is a role model to others especially those who have learning and physical disabilities. Despite his disability Isaac is determined to do well academically and has a focussed ambition for the future. His participation and resilience in sport is remarkable demonstrated through wheelchair rock-climbing, football, and all curriculum sports in which his team work is inspiring. In order to achieve, Isaac has had to overcome his significant level of disability and has had to be patient in accepting high levels of support. He always does this with a smile. He is a credit to his family and the school community where he is loved. If anybody embodies the Olympic values then it is Isaac. His love of life and of others combined with his absolute resilience is something we should all aspire to.I was born with congenital abnormality which resulted in an absence of both arms, hands and hips. Also I haven't done wheelchair rock climbing but I have done wheelchair abseiling.
