Ian is now at the peak of physical fitness following a 20 year battle with anorexia. Over the last 3 years Ian has totally turned his life around from being a 5 stone withdrawn recluse on the brink of death, suffering from a collapsed lung and pneumonia to a healthy 9 stone inspiration striving to repay his debt for wasting 20 years of his life! To assist his recovery he bravely decided to go on national television with his story appearing on ITV1's This Morning, in national newspapers and on local BBC radio in the hope that his story would help other men suffering in silence conquer their demons too! In his words 'If my experiences can have a positive impact on anyone who might be going through a bad time then it's got to be worth it.' He has raised over £10,000 to date for his chosen charity MacMillan Cancer Support by completing three marathons and other local community events. He is also an active volunteer, volunteering for events such as the Blind Football World Cup. Ian is truly humbled by the ongoing support and encouragement he receives which inspires him to do more to have such a positive impact on peoples lives. Ian believes the 'Big Man' up there is helping him to help other people! Please let him now carry the torch to help him continue his quest to help people out there realise there is hope and that they too can turn their lives around!
