Ian learnt to cycle in order to raise money for the Lymphoma Association after losing his daughter to cancer. When the pain of cycling becomes too much Ian reminds himself that it is nothing compared to what his daughter went through. He does several cycling events each year. Additionally he has organised charity football matches, spoken on radio raising awareness, shares his experiences with cancer support groups and palliative care nurses. I met him on the London to Paris bikeride and I have never met a more dedicated and inspirational character. He is now employed by the Lymphoma association increasing awareness whilst trying to raise funds. His life focuses around helping those going through similar experiences and improving the care of people with terminal cancer. Ian has turned around what is a very sad situation to try and help others and that's why he's making a difference!
