Ian Groome

Ian is a selfless individual who devotes his time between work family and his charitable work. whilst raising four children Ian has been heavily involved in being a school Governor; a member, president and now district member of Lions International Charity and also a treasurer to St Marys Church. through all of this Ian has shown true devotion running charitable events such as town gala's; fundrasing events and a charity mission to Romania in 2007 solely funded by charitable donations. this has all be done with little to no recognition and Ian selfless continues to carry out charity work in the community asking for nothing in return. he is currently managing a large scale rebuild of St Marys Church following a devasting fire last year. as well as this he continues his active work with Lions International currently as the district competitions officer. he is a true shining star
