Daley Thompson, Michael Johnson, Steve Redgrave, Usain Bolt?. Wow! The Olympics is inspiring and can prove that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Being part of this event would be something to remember for years to come. Plus I would like to think even in this small way it will inspire others. Through setting different and diverse challenges over the last several years, I have found this has inspired others to buy a bike, take up triathlon, try out rugby or volleyball to represent Nature Valley at the World Corporate Games or even cycle from London to Paris where I raised £2000 for charity.

I have also tried to make a difference in non-sporting ways too. Mentoring a local school pupil preparing for their exams and big life choices, participating in Hillingdon's school book awards and volunteering for the Princes Trust, prior to going to university, have been examples of extending help and support in ways that I appreciated as I was growing up.
