Ian Chalk

Ian has always been a keen sportsman, especially athletics, both as a competitor and a coach. In recent years he has put his coaching skills to helping the wider community and he now works with individuals and groups to help promote healthy living. His work with older people and the disabled is especially to be noted and he has taken the time and trouble to get the specialist training necessary to make this work more effective. He is much respected by the local community and other professionals especially in the medical profession for the one-to-one work which he does both in a fitness centre and in people's homes. He is married and has young children, but manages to balance his professional work alongside being a good husband and father. As a parent, he encourages his children to take part in a wide variety of activities, both sporting and cultural. At 47 years of age, he shows no sign of slowing down or losing his commitment to family and clients.
