Ian Caughey

Ian spends a lot of time at our rugby club, he is head of the minis section and has recently taken over as ladies head coach. My goal is to promote and introduce the game rugby to all sections of my local community which suffers from high levels of social deprivation. At present I run the mini rugby section at my rugby club and run two of the youth teams . This caters for children from the age of 5 to 15 years of age. Within the last year I have founded my clubs first ladies rugby team. My future plans are to build on this and attempt to develop a ladies youth structure within my club. My ultimate goal however is to introduce rugby to people of all abilities and promote the health and well being to all sections of my community. I also hope that my efforts will bring people the same enjoyment and friendships which rugby has brought me over the years.
