Ian's nomination story

In 2008 when I was 16 years old and just entering 6th form, my Dad died of Cancer, aged 50. Overcome with the help and kindness provided by St Kentigern's hospice (North Wales), I felt obliged to do all I could do to support them. So I organised charity events in 6th form and did all I could there. Then I went to Edge Hill University and created the Charity and Fundraising Society and was again overwhelmed by the people who joined and we have done all sorts of charity events from individual hair bleaching for St Kentigerns to a Masquerade Ball for Cancer Research. I would love to run with the torch to symbolise all we have done and will continue to do as a society and as individuals and show how proud I am of my society and also to make my Dad proud of me. The picture I have uploaded is of the society and myself alongside the other bleach blonde guys!
