Iain Perkins

Iain Perkins has been a teacher over 30 years He is often described as a "legend" by many in the local community. Generations of people remember him with warmth and affection for not only the education he has given them but also the time and pleasure he gave them. His selfless attitude meant he would often give up weekends and work late into the evening to ensure that all students could not only be involved in sport but also reach their potential where they showed the talent. There is a whole community with generations that have had their lives influenced and impacted by the selfless and tireless work of this man and it speaks volumes that now he has retired there is a Facebook campaign to get him to come back to work and numerous calls asking how people can celebrate his retirement and thank him for all that he has given them.
