Boris's nomination story

Boris is very patriotic regarding the Isle of Man, taking the Manx flag on his worlwide travels and promoting the Island at every opportunity. Boris is an amazing man who volunteers in the local community by being a marshal at the TT , Southern 100 and Manx Grand Prix motor cycle races. Last year Boris started a facebook and Twitter page for the Southern 100 using his own time to update this and to add fixtures and current news. He started Castletown Ladies football team coaching them for 2 years, at the same time he coached Castletown 14-16's boys footbal team to two league titles. Most recently he has coached Port St Mary school children, during this time he was praised by parents for raising their childs confidence and assisting in their recovery from illness. Boris has been a Team Liaison Officer (TLO) for the Manx Special Olympic games 2010 and will be a TLO for the Manx Commonwealth Games later this year. Boris has played Golf, Cricket, Rugby and Football for Castletown and Football for the Island. Boris is very well known, respected and popular in his local area and is recognised for giving up his time to help others, representing the Island where posible. Boris would be extremely honoured and proud to represent the Isle of Man as torch bearer and to be involved in such an event as this.
