My niece, Holly, is 12 years old and is settling happily into her new secondary school. Despite being born with hemiplegia. This condition causes severe physical problems down the right-side of her body and epilepsy, which was successfully treated with radical brain surgery when she was five years old. She also has a form of autism known as 'active but odd'. She is truly inspirational. She will befriend anyone, loves telling jokes, is truthful, very hardworking, happy to help, and ALWAYS tries her best. She has been interviewed on both national television and radio, and has always risen to the occasion. Her wonderful parents and many friends have been inspired by her enormous courage and have raised thousands of pounds for charities, such as Scope and Hemihelp. We are so proud of her and all that she has achieved so far, and I therefore nominate her to carry the Olympic torch.
