Hollie attends Foulstone School in Barnsley where she is a school council representative and pupil mentor and is well respected and admired by her fellow pupils. She has studied dance and musical theatre since the age of three at a local dance school and the Northern Ballet in Leeds. Studying ballet, modern contemporary, jazz, tap, musical theatre, drama and piano she has performed in many festivals and theatre productions, including performances at the Lamproom Theatre in Barnsley. Achievements and accolades are many including modern dance and ballet championship wins, the IDTA Award for Modern Theatre Dance, IDTA Tap and Ballet Scholarship Awards and the TDCI Junior Modern Scholarship. She was awarded Barnsley Council's Outstanding Achievers Award for Performing Arts in recognition of her achievement, talent and commitment and several bursary awards from the authority's Gifted and Talented scheme. She has been nominated for Le Classique de Dance Award which is recognised as the 'Oscars' of the dancing profession. Her talents also spread to track and field where she is now the South Yorkshire School's 200 meter girls champion, and is a member of the school's successful basket ball team. Her tireless commitment, talent, enthusiasm and positive attitude has received the recognition and respect in not only her peers but in all her teachers and tutors alike. She is an inspiration and example to us all and well deserves to be nominated to carry the torch for the Olympic Games.
