Heyer Patrick

O is the name of the swimming club set up by Patrick in 2000 to enable both able-bodied and disabled children and adults to access swimming activities. As the Clubs' president and teacher, Patrick transmits his love for water on a weekly basis to a group of 70 able-bodied and disabled members. He also facilitates meetings among vulnerable members of the community to help them integrate into society. The swimming club also encourages car-sharing and has set up a system through which able-bodied swimmers assist those in need of individual care. The Club is also being consulted by the local council on the construction of a new swimming pool in Périgueux and the access for disabled individuals In order to improve accessibility for disabled individuals, the swimming club provides important information regarding the improvement of their conditions..
