Helen's nomination story

Helen has always been a very caring and thoughtful person. Two years ago she nursed her Nan through cancer whilst studying for her social work degree. Working/studying/caring for long hours whilst all the time being a good friend to many. Then when she had successfully become a social worker-a job she loves-her younger brother Michael 18 got diagnosed with Leukaemia. Helen and all her family were devastated. But it just made her more determined to care. She stayed by her brothers bed side all her free time whilst continuing to make a difference at work. Michael is now out of hospital and responding well to treatment; Helen is now using free time to fund raise for Leukaemia charities who helped her and her family so much. She started with sponsored walks, then short runs,10k. Now Helen's sights are the London Marathon and she has her place! Let the fund raising commence
