Heather Taylor

I am writing to nominate my mum Heather, because I truely believe that she is a worthy candidate as torch bearer .As well as working full time on a sheep farm my mum has been a Guide Leader in Machynlleth for over 20 years, opening it after it had closed down and creating exciting opportunities for so many girls in the community.As a Guide Leader she devotes so much time to organising the weekly meetings, inviting visitors for the girls to learn new skills and crafts,involving them in Community Projects,taking them camping and a yearly trip to London, where she arranges for the girls to have their photo taken outside Number 10. She just goes out of her way to ensure that these girls have experiences that they will remember forever.She really is such a fantastic woman and I am extremely proud of her and know that she would feel privileged and honoured to be a torch bearer.
