Heather Matthews

Heather is very much a part of her community in Shawbury. Every week she supports run a local scout group and Beaver group. This doesn't just involve attending on the night but behind the scenes planning and organising. Heather has just achieved a 5 year service award in her voluntary role. Heather is also linked to the British Legion and each year supports the selling of poppies. Within the village where Heather lives she is known for her I can help attitude and will always offer her free time to support events. This had led to her achieving an community award for her commitment. For someone who gives so much time, despite being partially sighted herself I feel that it would be a great surprise to reward her. Her attitude in all she does very much follows the scouting ethos I will do my best
