Heather Hale deserves to be an Olympic Torchbearer for her work since 2004 with the national and locally based Explorer Group 14-18 year olds. Heather's national work involves large event organisation - group size 3,500 young people to 40,000 young people. She recently spent 3 weeks in Sweden, Denmark and Poland in this role. All this work is undertaken in her own time and unpaid. She motivates and inspires young people which is a fantastic skill. She is a volunteer and kayak coach for Seapoint centre where she teaches young people and adults with learning disabilities. Her devotion and inspiration to young people is fantastic
