I would like to nominte Hayley Rea who became a qualified dance teacher at the age of 18. Throughout her dance career she became aware of the high amount of passion and talent hidden amongst her community and the restrictions young people faced because they could not afford to attend the dance classes and the lack of help for young people due to the negative perceptions they faced. At the age of 21 Hayley established a dance school called Aim High Dance Academy. Aim High Dance Academy has three main school branches in Lambeth, Merton and Croydon which run free/low fee dance classes for the community. Last year Hayley won The Spirit of London Award Achievement Through the Arts 2010. This title was awarded in respect of the reputation, dedication and success of Hayley's dance career over the past four years and her work for the community.
