Haydn Pitchforth

Fundraising for brain tumour charities Andrea's Gift (http://www.andreasgift.org.uk/) and Hammer Out. The main reason for taking on these challenges is that his friend has had a brain tumour since 1994, was diagnosed in 2009 with an inoperable malignant tumour, and wants to help raise awareness and funds. He works with a fundraising team to raise thousands.

Hayden has cycled 200 miles from the brain tumour charity Hammer Out at Thornbury, near Bristol, to Andreas Gift head quarters at Bingley, Bradford. Walked the national 3 peaks - raising £50,000 and Bog Snorkelled!

Hayden has also arranged and participated in team rounder's competitions, hand gliding, walking the Yorkshire three peaks and an annual cycle 63miles to Scarborough. One year with his sister-in-law, once cycled on a tandem and hopes to cycle with his son this year. He is planning a Yorkshire cycle to 12 breweries (without drinking!) with two stops offs to complete two peaks.

Haydn is the most decent, totally modest, polite man you could meet! He is a genuinely nice guy that just wants to support a good cause. He puts in the hours and effort and never asks for any praise or thanks. He even described the two day bike ride as 'an enjoyable and positive experience'. Any man that is willing to bog snorkel is a hero in my eyes!
