Harry's nomination story

Harry is only 16, and already an inspiration to young and old. Harry's involvement in Sport at School helped him to become a Gold Young Ambassador for 2012 Olympics. He promotes sport to young people in Rushcliffe by organising and supporting sports events through his chairmanship of the Southwolds School Sports Council, presenting opportunities for children of all ages and abilities. Harry has gained a Sports Leadership award, and a nomination for Rushcliffe Junior Volunteer of the Year 2011 (to be confirmed). Harry's own sporting achievements are impressive, winning at British Indoor Rowing Championships at age 10, and subsequently winning eleven rowing competitions in a J14 quad, proving he can compete individually and in a team. At age 15 Harry co-directed the Turkey Trot half marathon for 800 runners from all over the UK, thus encouraging sport nationally. Lately, whilst studying for GCSE Examinations, and assisting in leading a local Scout troop, Harry is preparing to represent Nottinghamshire at the World Scout Jamboree 2011 in Sweden. He is well respected by everyone who meets him.
