Harry's nomination story

I would like to nominate my son Harry Evans as a torch bearer for the 2012 Olympic games because of his volunteer work as a beach lifeguard in Bournemouth, doing this from the age of 16. In the summer of 2009 still being 16 he successfully resuscitated a member of the public who had collapsed in front of him in the town centre using CPR. The paramedics who took over the resuscitation said if he was not there the gentleman would have definitely died, for his efforts he was awarded The Pat Russell Medal presented to him by the Duke of Kent. This medal is presented annually to one member of an RLSS affiliated club and is chosen from nominations throughout the Commonwealth. In Harry's spare time he lifeguards disabled swimming galas at the local swimming pool, teaching physically and mentally disabled members of the public how to swim. Hoping this meets with you approval, yours sincerely. Anthony Evans.
