Harry's nomination story

Harry suffers from Osteogenesis (Brittle Bones)and has been a patient of mine since he was a toddler. He has suffered hundreds of severe and painful fractures, spending untold hours in hospital plaster theatres and the physiotherapy department. Determined to live life to the full and despite the risk of fractures, he took up Dance at school and took part in several tours abroad with the troupe, he completed his A levels including Physical Education following a fracture of his femur and now works for Chelsea Football Club Foundation ( Community Department ) and coaches Pre academy sessions for particularly talented players.. He coaches and inspires youngsters in their sports and goes into schools to talk about fitness and health and exercise. I have treated many children in my 30-year career but Harry has really humbled me with his bravery as a little boy and I consider myself privileged to be in a position to nominate this fine and inspirational young man, who is PASSIONATE about his sport and his young charges. Harry would be so proud to be a torch bearer.
