Haresh Selvaskandan

Haresh is studying Medicine in Leicester and is actively involved in the national charity, Medsin, which implements sustainable health projects within local communities. As Vice-Coordinator, he has been fundamental in carrying out its efforts, such as his visit to Kenya through the Kenyan Orphan Project. Here he worked closely with children in Kisumu and aided in the construction of a local school. He commented that the highlight of the trip was the opportunity to live with such vibrant people, thereby enabling him to have a better understanding of how to meet their needs. Haresh is filled with passion. Passion for medicine, caring for patients and passion for raising awareness and acting on Global Health issues. I am confident that this passion for helping others will continue throughout his life. Carrying the Torch for him will be an honour and I appreciate your kind consideration.
