Hannah's nomination story

Hannah has moderate learning difficulties and attends Penmaes school for special needs. She excels in two areas they are Art and Sport. She was the first person in her school to get a GCSE others have since followed her example. She has just completed her AS art exams. She is deputy head girl. She loves sport and is the Brecon and Radnor young disabled sports person of the year. She is the Regional Player of the year (disability girl) Welsh Community Football 2011 and has won the National (Wales) award in this category. She can't go to the ceremony to pick up this award as she will be at the World Games in Athens as a member of the Special Olympic GB athletic squad. A recent social services report describes her as "well mannered" and "polite and considerate with staff and peers". Hannah would be a worthy torchbearer.
