Grahame is passionate about making a difference through sport, in particular, community sport. He is always the last to promote himself and his achievements, making him one of the few true unpaid volunteers. He prefers to devote his efforts in providing more opportunities and better environments for participation and the development of potential in all participants. His enthusiasm has been maintained for over 50 years and he is still making a huge difference to community sport today.
Grahame has always been passionate about sport having been a PE teacher for 40 years, has been involved in a local Sports Council for 41 years and been chair of a local Community Sports Network for 24 years. He has also been involved in the Federation of Eastern Sport as Secretary, Vice Chair and Chair (for 15 years). His involvement does not stop there, he was an inaugural member of the Herts Sports Forum (the fore-runner of the Herts Sports Partnership) and has since been Chair of the Executive Board for 5 years. Grahame is someone that we see quite a lot around Herts Sports Partnership and Stevenage, but rarely do we glimpse the enormous contribution he makes behind the scenes. CR
