BP is proud to nominate Graham to be an Olympic torchbearer. Graham supports ATAXIA UK . The charity assists people who are affected by this rare neurological disorder and funds research projects to try to find a treatment and a cure. Graham has raised over £700,000 over the past twenty years for ATAXIA UK and last year was awarded an MBE. for his services to the charity. The drive for fundraising is close to Graham's heart as he has two children who suffer from Friedreich's Ataxia. Graham uses the business skills developed as a BP dealer to organise Big Bad Bike Rides. These rides are 70 mile cycle challenges on remote roads of the UK and abroad. Last year the ride was based in Pitlochry in Scotland and 140 riders raised over £100,000 for the charity in one day. It is Graham's mission to raise £1 million in his life time for the charity and his belief that one day a cure for Ataxia will be found.
