Graham Heath

I nominate Coach Graham Heath, as he is a beacon for Basketball. I represent Newcastle East Griffins, and the NE Regional Basketball team. Graham founded NE Griffins almost a decade ago. The Club provides not only an opportunity to engage in sport; but an extended family promoting health, teamwork, and respect for self and others. In addition to the fundamentals of basketball, Graham engenders a passion for the sport that drives kids to achieve; he has produced professional players in the UK and USA, and supplied players to team GB. The club meets twice weekly, with 100+ members, regularly participating in social trips and days out. Graham has taken teams abroad; currently we are planning our 10th Anniversary Tour to Barcelona. Both teams are completely voluntary and his players are the very reason Graham exists and the time he affords players is unlimited.. Prior to being a fantastic basketball coach, Graham was a professional Ice-Hockey player. Please celebrate his unique dedication and infectious passion he instills in everyone he encounters. .
