Glenn Turrington and his wife support a charity called Chernobyl Children's Life Line and have during the past 15 years hosted children from Belarus suffering from the effects of Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster. The children come to Britain from Belarus suffering from cancers and a number of illness caused by the radioactive fallout across the Belarussian region.The children have stayed Glenn's family for four weeks at a time he has provided accommodation, food, clothes and shoes during their stay as well as taking them on numerous days out to see the sights. Glenn's family have hosted 19 children during the years he has been involved with the charity - the benefits of the 4 week stay in England is said by doctors to increase the children's life expectancy by 2 years.Glenn remains in touch with many of the children he has hosted.
