Glenn Marriott

Glenn has been an inspiration for the people in both his community and the wider Staffordshire area with his voluntary work with the Staffordshire Moorlands Athletics club as development officer, secretary, chairman and president over the last 18 years. Glennâ??s contribution has a motivational impact along with a healthy and wellbeing contribution to his colleagues in the club and the wider community. Glenn has used up valuable leave periods in order to organise and manage events such as the National English Cross Country event held at Alton Towers both in 2008 and 2011. With such a motivated and friendly manager the opportunity to be a torchbearer would be a small recognition of the huge impact Glenn has put in to the wider community over the last 18 years and would be fitting to the Olympic organisation. All my community would be so proud of Glenn should he be successful.
