Glen's nomination story

Glen Darby's character is what sets him apart from others and feeds into everything he sets his mind to. Glen is the guy that you always want in your team, be that inside or outside of work. He has a terrific work ethic, never settles for second best and from his strong values is the ultimate professional in all situations.

These qualities have not only been used within the workplace to achieve success but also to help the community he has volunteered as a debt councillor for CAP for 4 years providing debt assistance to individuals to discuss their problems and to find real solutions. To do this he has dedicated a large amount of his spare time to train including weekends and a week's holiday from work. Within this scheme he has helped over 70 people to resolve their financial issues.

Glen has also participated and led many other community based activities including distributing food parcel regularly to families in need, some of which he has found, as well as distributing presents on Christmas day.

Glen also is a active leader of his church's Sunday school, organising monthly events for 200 children and has in the past organised community events in a local park.

Glen Darby deserves this opportunity as he strives to achieve the best, not for himself but for everyone he comes into contact with. This is apparent in his success at work, his contribution to his community and the inspiration he gives to those around him.
