Gillian George

Gill has been a member Barnardo's Cymru, Haverfordwest fund raising committee for for almost 20years. During this time our group has raised almost £100,000 to support families and to develop and maintain children's services in Wales.Despite holding down a senior position in the NHS Gill has been a committed, hard working and reliable member of our group. We have organised very large events prestigious events with national celebrities to coffee mornings BBQ's and toddles. Gill has more than taken her share in rattling the tins, washing up selling tickets, event planning and organising. She has a son who is on the autistic spectrum and also has ADHD, as a child he used the services provided by Barnardo's, so Gill understands the value of the support to the child and the whole family charities like Barnardo's make. She is still a carer for her son who, despite being 24 still requires constant support. Despite this she still makes time for her charity work. She successfully hold down a career, she is a carer, a wife, and a fantastic supporter and funraiser for Barnardo's. It is for her commitment enthusiasm reliability to Barnardo's and to her son I would like to nominate her.
