Gerry McBride is a fantastic example of how an individual can make a positive change to their community. He is a British Cycling ride leader giving up his weekends to take people on Skyride Local led bike rides (many of whom have never cycled for years); he always goes the extra mile to ensure that participants are made to feel welcome and enjoy their bike ride. To give the residents of Middlesbrough the chance to keep cycling together throughout the year, Gerry has been a driving force behind a new family cycling club the Tees Valley Riders, the club ethos is We are a recreational cycling group based at Mddlesbrough Cycle Cicuit in Middlesbrough.
