Gérard Ducarre

Gérard embodies all the Olympic values - he is open, friendly man, sociable and a good communicator. His various actions make him a perfect candidate to carry the Olympic torch. His personal commitments include: volunteering with the Montesson Rugby Club, Secretary of a School Parent's association, President of the EDF multimedia library. promoting the partnership with the London 2012 Olympic Games within a business division and organising the Ile de France EDF volleyball tournament. Furthermore, Gérard has a strong sporting past: he participated in swimming competitions at a national level and in several junior championships in France, won the title of the 4th French junior swimmer in the 200m butterfly category, swam across Lake Geneva, finishing in the top 20 and organised tennis tournaments for more than 600 participants of EDF's central services club .
