Georgia's nomination story

I have known Geogia Tuckfield for 12 years, I am a manager for a childcare centre based in the heart of an inner city estate In Walthamstow London. We cater for children and their families from the age of 6 months - 8 years. Our estate has a lot of of gang and gun crime and the centre offer childcare for many of the children and their families. Georgia attends the after school side of our activities as a helper she gets the children involved in sports and encourages them to develop their turn taking skills and the importance of fair play in sport. This gives children the opportunity to learn from someone who is an excellent role model she encourages children to understand and helps them delvelop confidence through her praise to try to enjoy sport by making it interesting and fun. She is a very kind and caring young lady and has a strong sense of belonging to our community. Whenever she is asked to do something she always does it with a smile and good heart. Georgia is not just an excellent role model for the children who attend our centre but she has encouraged children to join her running club Orion Harriers and she gets them all involved with training and is a friend to them when they attend . Georgia ran the London mini marathon this year and came first. Her long term goal is to run in the Olympics for Great Britain. Georgia is a good inspiration to our children and I would love to see her getting a little closer to her future goal with her sport.
