Georgia's nomination story

Georgia was born with spina bifida, hydrocephalus and an extra finger on each hand instead of a thumb. The day after she was born, she had an operation to seal her spine which was split in two and before she was one, she had her first operation on her hands. Georgia's spina bifida means she is in a wheelchair, but that does not get in her way. She is a keen sportswoman and has gone to national finals of Boccia. She has also raced in wheelchair races against people her age and older and has played table top cricket as well. As well as her sports, she is also very musical and plays the piano, even with the difficulties of her hands, and has a lovely singing voice. Georgia is really inspirational to me and this is why I believe she should be given the chance to be a torchbearer for the Olympics.
