Gemma Whiteman

Gemma Whiteman works in a variety of community and charitable groups in Reading, where she also lives and works. She works as a volunteer street pastor taking food to the homeless of reading and providing support and friendship particularly through the night. She has also played a similar role at the reading festival ( aligning with street pastors and the salvation army). In the annual cristian aid week she recruited and managed a collection team linked to her local church that raised almost £1000. She also participated in a church hosted youth group that supports local teenagers, offerring friendship support and guidance on topics ranging from social issues to sexuality and drugs. Altogether Gemma is a great example of an employee who already makes a difference in her community and is also inspiring others to do the same.
