Gemma's nomination story

Gemma is a very inspirational person who goes above and beyond what is required of her to do for the better of other people. Gemma has been a member of the Young Ambassador Programme since 2009 when it first began in Northern Ireland and has worked extremelly hard and has become an inspirational and euthastic young person who spreads the power of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to everyone she meets!. During her time as a young ambassador she has held a 'Mini Olympics' day for one hundred primary school children in order to spread the Values and the shear magic of the Olympic and Paralymic Games to them and also to inspire them to choose sport and lead a healthy and active lifestyle. She passes her inspiration onto every young person in her community and takes time to talk to them and pass on advice! Gemma is also a member of the Northern Ireland and UK Young Ambassador Steering Groups where she is a key member in planning the programe throughout the UK. She is extremelly dedicated to her role and absolutely loves everything she is asked to take part in. She speaks with such great enuthasim that her love for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and for inspiring others shines through. Gemma mentors two Young Ambassadors within her school who she has developed into inspirational individuals. Gemma loves working in her local community and helping whoever she can to take an interest in sport and show the power of it!
