Fireman dad of 3 & charity man: last year Gav ran 2 marathons in 2 days carrying fireman's ladder for charity! Legend! 1 of many examples..I believe I can inspire others to do good things by being a decent person. I believe in giving back to Halton people through my work as a Fire fighter by keeping people safe and building strong links between all groups in our community. I have used my position to the full advantage of 2 very worthwhile charities in recent years at the same time promoting fitness through the local media. Last year I ran 2 marathons in 2 days carrying a Ladder with the help of my colleagues on White Watch Runcorn. This year I organised a charity boxing event between Cheshire Fire Service and Cheshire Police. Combined both events raised in excess of £18k for The Firefighters Charity and Help 4 Heroes.
